In this week's episode we show that Microsoft's image AI isn't even following Microsoft's own guidelines. Plus, a shout-out to our subscribers-only episode all about our AI coverage.

This week’s 404 Media Podcast is up! Every episode Joseph, Sam, Emanuel, and Jason go deeper on a couple of stories we published in the last week.

This episode is a fun one. First, Sam takes us through her story about generating images of SpongeBob and 9/11 with Bing's AI. Why? Because a bunch of people found a way to create similar images even though they shouldn't be possible under Microsoft's own policies. (Paid subscribers—keep an ear out for an extra long bonus episode dropping soon when we go buckwild about the reaction to some of our recent AI stories. There’s a lot of shouting).

After the break, we turn into an economics podcast. Jason breaks down what exactly happened when a bunch of credit card maxers (people who try to gather as many credit card points as possible) over saturated the market for Travis Scott tickets. A fascinating, and hilarious, crisis emerged.

Paid subscribers get access to our weekly podcast before it hits the public feed, and gain access to bonus subscriber-only content. That includes a long Q&A episode where we candidly answer questions from 404 Media readers.

Listen to the weekly podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Podcasts. Become a paid subscriber for access to that bonus content and to power our journalism. YouTube version of this week’s episode coming soon.
